Held on occasional Fridays, our bean to bar tasting will take you on a journey from the cacao farm through to finished chocolates. We will cover a brief history of cocoa origins and chocolate, talk about the environmental and health benefits of cocoa, roast some beans, even make a little chocolate.
Along the way you will discover the secrets of fine flavour chocolate and how to unlock them. We will taste a wide variety of premium chocolate, from organic couverture and bean to bar right through to a finished praline and even chocolate gelato.
Places cost £20 per person, and will only go ahead if we have 8 people attending. Typically they will last around one and a half hours. We provide a complimentary glass of bubbly and of course lots of excellent chocolate to taste as well as an opportunity to learn about real craft chocolate and cacao. We have had fantastic feedback about our tastings.
People with dietary restrictions are welcome, most of the chocolate we try will be dairy, gluten, soy and nut free (although may contain traces). Our tastings are aimed at adults who wish to discover the joys of fine flavour chocolate, although children from the age of 12 are also welcome.
